Benaulim Housing
Goa India

This project concerns the realisation of four two-level villas and one bungalow.
The 6.000sqm lot is situated in a palm grove near Benaulim beach in Goa, the smallest Indian state.
The extraordinary natural environment and the pre-existent architectural features both strongly influenced our project development.
A critical re-interpretation of the Portuguese colonial house model, which deeply influenced local architecture, is visible in the larger villas. The one-family villa, on the other hand, appears somewhat “diffuse” in its extension: freely-placed masses are connected by paths that bring together the indoor and outdoor space.
